On the day one of the training, six (6) participants were signed up on Google email (Gmail) as they did not have an email address before the training. Also five people were signed up on twitter and guided on how to use it to promote their businesses.

The second phase of the training was to create a wider space for more participants to grow their digital marketing skills and allow reflection of the day one of the training and feedback from all the participants.

However, the participants were not only happy to be exposed to a step-by-step guide on how to use social media to market their product but also gave a valuable feedback that made us believed that we have watered a positive impact on the youth of Afon community.

AVI Collaborate With Prikkle Academy For A Collaborative Community Project

Afon volunteers Initiative (AVI) and Prikkle Educational Initiative (Prikkle Academy) have collaborated to lead a change in Afon community for the next five (5) month.

The partnership was to bring together 30 community members in Afon to drive change within the community by looking at what works instead of what wrong in the community, by looking at the assets, strengths and the potentials of the community.

This project was established not only to talk about the gifts and resources in Afon community but also mobilized it into tangible social solutions.

PrikkleAcademy the originator of the project  was said to make the project happen in Afon community through the use of Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, using an unconventional form of education to transform ideas and knowledge that has been described as ‘what if, it can happen’ into ‘why not, we make it happen’.

We are delighted to welcome the organization into our great community; also, the organization was introduced to the community leaders and a youth association in Afon community who received the organization and promised to render any assistance they can give to make the project a success in the community.

We are excited to begin another impactful journey with Prikkle Academy in Afon community.
